On Thursday, January 17, 2013 the international conference of the REKRY AMARE project took place in Lahti, Finland. The topic of the conference was: International recruiting - challenges and solutionsand was organized by the University of Helsinki, Palmenia Center for Continuing Education. The meeting was at the same time a final event of this three-year long project, in which CeBaM is an international partner on Polish side. During the conference Magdalena Ziółek-Skrzypczak, PhD and Patricia Krolik, MA from CeBaM presented contemporary challenges of migration and integration processes in Poland and CeBaM's role in developing new research and projects on migration topics.

The objective of the project REKRY-AMARE (Promoting Work-related Immigration and Spreading Good Practices in the EU) is to develop a model of the integration of qualified migrants into European labor markets. The project is based on an exchange of experiences between the partner institutions involved in the project from different EU countries (Finland, Ireland, Great Britain, Germany, Estonia and Poland), who discuss themes such as the history of emigration and immigration in their respective countries and local integration activities aiding the successful functioning of the system for acquiring migrants according to the needs of the labor market.

The joint seminars and conferences organized by the partner institutions during the project duration (2010-2013) constitute an important international discussion platform on the role of immigrants in the economic and demographic stability of the European Union.
